3 Over The Top Clean Eating Blizzard Treats
Yes, I used to LOVE Blizzards from Dairy Queen. They were the celebratory treat after summer softball game win. They were seriously special, seriously over the top, seriously delicious. They also always hurt my stomach and made my head spin…but what did I care about that at 11 years old? It was the creamy ice cream and the clusters of stuff. The chocolate, the cookie dough, the berries……yum.
But I do care now, even though when I pass a DQ, I still think….BLLIIIIZZZAAARDDD!
So, I’ve been working on my own clean eating, gluten-free, dairy-free blizzard-esque concoctions and I wanted to share a few with you. If this is up your alley, then follow my instagram, because I post the recipes on the fly.
Let’s start with my favourite one, shall we? The one in the feature picture of this post. It’s ah-mazing. It’s got clusters of dates, raw honey and almonds mixed into a rich raw cocoa almond milkshake. It’s thick, decadent, and makes me think….BLLIIIIZZZAAARDDD!

Hi Lenore, to find out the calorie count and nutrition breakdown, I recommend using a nutrition calculator like this one: https://www.verywell.com/recipe-nutrition-analyzer-4129594 As I’m not a nutritionist, I don’t list the nutritional breakdown for potential lack of accuracy. Hope I’ve pointed you in the right direction. Thanks for visiting!
