Healthy Strawberry Milkshake Smoothie

This dairy-free smoothie is healthy, creamy, smooth, delicious and oh-so-satisfying. It’s the perfect nutritious treat to sweeten any day. Whether you enjoy it for breakfast or as a snack, you’ll love its decadent flavour that’s just like a real milkshake (without the ice cream!)

One Berry Good Smoothie

Strawberries are what give this smoothie its pretty pink colour and sweet flavour, which is further highlighted by a hint of vanilla and honey. Since strawberries are full of antioxidants, vitamin C, and minerals like magnesium and potassium, they are always a welcome addition to our smoothies not only for their taste but for their nutritional benefits as well. When you combine them with just a few subtle ingredients, the result is one scrumptious dessert-like drink that really hits the spot.

I blended a good handful of frozen strawberries with almond milk, rolled oats, honey, and vanilla to make my kiddos a healthy, energizing breakfast to start their morning with. They loved its frothy texture and milkshake-like consistency. “It’s like dessert!” they both said. And I would have to agree! Sometimes, you just want to begin the day with dessert, and what better way to do it than with a healthy smoothie, that won’t cause a sugar crash.

For an extra boost of protein, you can add in a scoop of your choice protein powder (plant-based vanilla would work great!) or pair this smoothie with some yummy protein energy bites.

Why Not Kick Off Valentine’s Day with a Pinktastic Smoothie

For example, a Valentine’s Day party, a summer picnic, or a baby shower brunch! You can easily triple the recipe below to make enough servings for everyone.

Personally, I’ll be making these berry-licious smoothies again for Valentine’s Day, which is just around the corner. My kids loved this exact blend so much, I know they’ll be pleased as punch to enjoy them as part of our family Valentine’s Day celebration.
