A beautiful cherry wood platter from Live Edged Woodcraft makes an eye catching charcuterie board.

One of my favourite things about hosting is bringing friends and family together in an atmosphere filled with warmth, joy, and togetherness.

There’s no doubt about it, the fall and holiday seasons are filled with entertaining, get-togethers, and parties! Whether you’re hosting them or attending them (probably both), if you’re like me, you are always on the look out for the perfect pieces to add to your decor as well as to give as gifts during the holidays.

This pitcher is a beautiful statement piece for a festive fall mantel. The hand-crafted ceramic tumbler & wood coasters are a perfect match for your tabletop.

I wanted to show how you can host a beautiful wine & cheese party with artisanal items from the One of a Kind Online Shop. The fun thing about this inspiration post is that all of these items equally make unique presents that are sure to be loved by their recipients.

Chalkboards are so now! This handmade one is a unique gift to enjoy all year long. As for the bar, it wouldn’t be complete without Tonic Maison’s small batch syrups.

When I’m planning for a party, I like to jot down possible themes, colours, food and drink, and decor ideas to help me create a cohesive and fabulous event. For this cocktail party, I envisioned a small french cafe and used that concept as my inspiration. I wanted it to feel cozy and inviting with a touch of whimsical.

Including Canadiana into your decor such as this pillow from Fish Eye Sisters adds an inviting and homey element.

Of course, a party calls for a fabulous outfit and complimentary accessories, such as a beautiful scarf from String Theory.

To create the look, I perused the One of a Kind Online Shop and found many special pieces that I fell in love with – from housewares to food and beyond. The beauty of the items I chose, is they’re from various local artisans here in Ottawa and Montreal. It always makes me happy to support local businesses and artists.

dishes
These adorable hors d’oeuvres dishes work well as personal butter dishes too – to add a special touch, I used a star flower cookie-cutter to create a floral butter shape, mimicking the print in the ceramic.
bowl
Never underestimate the beauty of a salad bowl! This funky serving bowl by Hilborn Pottery Design is a show-stopper that elegantly highlights the food it holds.

To add ambiance to any party, candles are a must! These beeswax candles have a pleasant and natural honey-scent. Of course, no occasion would be complete without dessert, try the pairing of shortbread and chocolate & cranberry spread – it’s divine!

  • Cherry wood cheese board from Live Edged Woodcraft
  • Eco-Friendly Magnetic Chalk Board from OmmaSae
  • Hors D’oeuvre Plates from Atelier Make
  • Porcelain Pitcher from Raging Bowl Pottery
