Cool Blues: Navy, White & Denim for Spring

Blue and white is a classic colour story that will always be one of my favourites. It has this fresh, cool vibe to it which makes me just want to set sail around the world. This spring, Leave Nothing But Footprints brings us gorgeous designs that come in these two colours, among many other pretty hues.

I think of navy and denim as neutral blues that work as building pieces in your wardrobe. Take for instance, LNBF’s Cora Maxi Dress – it can be worn as an elegant evening dress with bright patterned heels, or dressed-down with caramel gladiator sandals and a white denim jacket. Pieces that work many different ways are ideal for a seasonal capsule wardrobe (where you have less inventory in your closet, but more use out of each item).

Leave Nothing But Footprints is an eco-friendly brand that wants to minimize the impact fashion has on our environment. They design sustainable and ethical pieces for women who love style, comfort and quality.

I have been wearing LNBF for nearly a year now and I absolutely love all of my pieces from their line. They are built to last, easy to wash, and a great fit. Their clothes are also made with eco-friendly and luxurious fabrics like viscose from bamboo, Tencel, and organic cotton – which feel amazing against your skin.

I’ve been building my spring/summer capsule wardrobe with staples that I can use all season long. LNBF collection has timeless pieces, as well as trendier items. That mix allows you to build a solid wardrobe while adding some fun and flare.

The maxi is still very hot this season, whether in a skirt or dress. LNBF added beautiful dimension to their version of the maxi, with light rushing and a sexy side slit. Pairing the navy Daphne Skirt with a the Dayla Lace Tank created a gorgeous silhouette, with eye-grabbing detail. I wear the tank top two ways; tucked in with the lace overlay flowing on top of the skirt or loose, for a less constructed look (add flip flops and a cross-body bag, and that second outfit is weekend ready).

The bamboo fabric is so soft, comfortable, and light-weight. Bamboo also has anti-bacterial and moisture-wicking properties that will keep you warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

When it comes to outfit building, white is a terrific canvas to play with. Having a few white tees and tanks for the warmer months is a must! They can take you from the office to cocktail hour, pairing well with a blazer and skirt or ripped jeans and aviators. They are so versatile!

I will be wearing LNBF’s Loretta Layered Tank all season long. The scoop neckline is flattering and sophisticated. The tiered layers offer tummy-coverage, while also giving the appearance of the trendy cropped look.

I paired it with my distressed boyfriend jeans for a cute casual outfit, but it also looks amazing with a maxi skirt or pencil skirt. As you can see, there are lots of fashionable styles available at Leave Nothing But Footprints. You’ll just have to pop over and discover all the beautiful styles in their new Spring/Summer Collection!
