Q + A with an Almost Kindergartener

We are in full Back to School mode around here. Except that it’s not really back to school for us, it’s FIRST time to school. Emotions are high – excitement, anxiety, and tears (mine). One thing’s for sure, Aiden is ready and can’t wait for the first day of school. We’ve encouraged him to be a part of the getting-ready process, by picking out his new clothes, schoolbag, lunch box, and supplies. He is a very expressive little man and his opinion certainly matters around here! He LOVES shoes and so that’s always a fun thing for him to choose – he has quite the collection already.

I asked Aiden a few questions about what he was looking forward to in kindergarten and what he thought his personal style was. For the most part, Aiden embraces all trends and is more likely to select an article of clothing based on colour or the ”cool factor”. Check out what he had to say!

We love to shop at Sears Canada for the variety of top quality brands and the latest fashions at affordable prices. We’ve scored some major deals this year and that helps when you’re sticking within a budget. The back to school list can be long and pricey! But with hot savings at Sears Canada, you can be cool for the fall without breaking the bank. Not to mention, Sears Canada is doing something AWESOME this month! Watch this fun video to see for yourself (and join in on the fun!)

This year, throughout the month of August, Sears Canada (The Kids Room) will be, and has been, helping families with school-aged children get ready for back-to-school so they can Rock the Halls! Across Canada, Sears will be, and have been, surprising shoppers by providing their purchases to them for FREE! As well, Sears Canada will be rewarding their Facebook fans by surprising them throughout the month of August with opportunities to win a $100 Sears gift card.

Isn’t that incredible? I’d love to be surprised like that at the cash register. I’d probably cry and start gushing about how my baby is starting kindergarten!

I think it’s wonderful how Sears Canada is participating with and giving back to the community. I’m always thrilled to see companies connect with their communities and consumers this way. Sears Canada have also been a proud supporter for over 40 years of Boys and Girls Club across Canada (BGCC), Canada’s leading provider of quality after school programs that support the healthy physical, educational, social and mental development of Canadian children and youth. Sears shares Boys and Girls Clubs of Canada’s philosophy that providing all Canadian children and youth with access to opportunity is essential to helping them achieve their full potential and create a better future.

I was excited to learn that to help out with this year’s back-to-school season, Sears Canada and Converse will be providing the GBCC with $10,000 worth of BTS Apparel!Disclosure: I am part of the Sears Back to School Blogger Campaign with Mom Central Canada and I receive special perks as part of my affiliation with this group. The opinions on this blog are my own.

  5. BTS shopping for footwear can be a real dilemma – combination of finding the right style/size for a fashion conscious son is a challenge. With his *expertise* navigating on the Sears site he opted for his *FAVE* Skechers Kids’ ‘Synergy Immunity’ Lace-Up Sneaker # RockTheHalls. New words in his vocabulary *RAD* *SIC* – ….sigh….
