I’m sharing a few pictures that I took throughout this week – at the park, in the woods, by our bedside and on the dining room table. We’re a bit under the weather today with scratchy throats that seem to have come out of thin air, so I’ve made a specialty fizz drink out of roasted peaches and rosemary simple syrup that is both soothing and cooling. I’ll be sharing the recipe later on this week. The photos of Abigail and Aiden were taken from Thursday at the park and since we’re not spending the afternoon outside ,as we would like, it’s nice to look at these and remember the fun we had. I hope we get over this quickly and get back to soaking up the summer.
At the beginning of the season we made a sort of bucket list of things we would like to do. Though we didn’t nearly accomplish all of the items on our list, we did manage quite a few. How about you?
Although I love the fall, summer is still here for a long time in my mind and truth be told, if Aiden wasn’t going into kindergarten this year – I think it would feel even longer. But with planning for school and buying fall clothing, I feel the doors closing on my favourite season and my foot still in the way. I do hope that it will be a warm September and that we’ll have weekends of outdoor activities and adventures to come.
Wishing you, dear readers, a beautiful evening.
