Super Smoothies :: Big Bite Apple-Berry Smoothie
If you’re anything like me, you have a ton of crunchy, crisp, Fall apples on hand. They are great to munch on and I love just about any baked apple treat (watch for my baked apple recipe next week!) – For another great way to enjoy apples try them in a smoothie. They offer nature’s sweetness, make the taste of dark berries burst, and also add a good amount of soluble fibre to the mix. Win, win, win!
This smoothie is ready in less than five minutes. I don’t even peel the apples; I grate them whole, because I don’t mind the shredded peel at all. Toss some kale, frozen berries, a sliced banana, chia seeds and a big tumbler of cool water into the blender and you’re good to go!
Hope you enjoy this one as much as I do 🙂
p.s Happy Birthday to my big sis!!
